I don't know if I was baptized Yet I know I'm in paradise Since I set on you my eyes Or, is it the other way round, O' Lord ? I thought I was on my own I thought I had to walk alone In dark with no light to beacon But 'twas you leading the path on, O' Lord ! How's that I didn't know you before Although you're always around there Was I covered with my own shadow Not realizing it'd vanish in your halo, O' Lord ? O' Lord !
