On account of the blow
(aaghaataat)
of (Your)
feet (paada),
the earth (mahii)
suddenly (sahasaa)
doubts (vrajati... samshaya-padam);
(in fact, the
entire) three
worlds --lit. "the (three) steps of Vísnu--
(paadam visnoh),
which consist of multitude (ganám)
of planets (gráha)
shattered (rugná)
by
(Your)
arms (bhuja)
resembling iron bars (parigha),
experience perplexity (bhraamyat).
All of a
sudden (muhúr),
the sky (dyauh)
becomes (yaati)
miserable (dausthyam)
(inasmuch as its)
sloping sides
(tataah)
are beaten (taadita)
by
(Your)
undulant (anibhrita)
twisted locks of hair
(jataa)
